Russell Lea Residence is a sculptural contemporary home that reimagines luxury living. The design embraces the subtropical climate through a seamless connection between interior spaces and lush landscaped gardens, creating a private resort-like sanctuary on an urban block.
The facade is a composition of organic curves and natural materials—sandstone columns, smooth rendered walls, and timber battens that frame the entry and filter light into the interiors. Cascading greenery from the upper level planters softens the bold forms, while the distinctive arched entry creates an inviting threshold that hints at the refined spaces within.
At the heart of the home, a sunken firepit lounge sits between a landscaped courtyard and a turquoise pool, surrounded by tropical plantings. The interior spaces showcase bespoke joinery and premium finishes—a marble kitchen island with gold accents, a glass-enclosed wine cellar beneath a sculptural timber staircase, and bathrooms clad in veined natural stone with brass fixtures.
